Talent Dividend Prize Update: Last Month to Register
Posted by Bridget Marquis on April 07, 2011
What City Will Be Known as the Place for Talent?
Less than one month is left to register your city for the Talent Dividend Prize. This $1 million award, supported by the Kresge Foundation and Lumina Foundation for Education, will be used to promote the talent development power of the winning city to attract business, investment and press nationwide.
The Talent Dividend Prize will be awarded to the metropolitan area that exhibits the greatest increase in the number of post secondary degrees granted per capita through 2013. With 58 percent of a city’s success, as measured by per capita income, attributed to the percentage of the adult population with a college degree, even competing for the prize could bring additional resources to your city.
You must register by May 1, 2011 to be eligible for the $1 million prize, so join the dozens of cities that are entering the Talent Dividend Prize competition today.
Q&A on Prize Registration
To answer commonly asked questions on registering for the Talent Dividend Prize, CEOs for Cities will host a webinar on April 14 from 2-3pm CT. RSVP for the webinar here.
In advance of this call, we ask all participants to review the registration form, which can be downloaded here.

Will Your City Be Represented at the Launch?
On May 9-10, CEOs for Cities and FutureWorks will host the launch of the Talent Dividend Prize in conjunction with the National Talent Dividend Network Meeting at Roosevelt University in downtown Chicago.
Using the work being pursued by Chicago to achieve the Talent Dividend as a backdrop, this 24-hour convening will provide a forum for peer-to-peer exchange and an opportunity to hear from national thought leaders on ways to advance post secondary completion in your city. Along with National Talent Dividend Network members, key liaisons for the prize and up to two additional representatives from each city are invited to attend.
If you haven’t registered, make sure to sign up today. Registration closes April 18.
