Join the National Talent Dividend Network Online
We’re listening. After many requests to increase peer learning across the network between meetings, we’ve launched a LinkedIn Group to facilitate greater connections and year-round exchange among members of the National Talent Dividend Network. A few discussion topics have been started, but feel free to add new discussion threads. This is a great place to pose questions to the entire network, share interesting articles or reports, as well as share your local success stories. You’ll also be able to connect directly to others in the network.
Join this group today, and invite others in your community to join in the conversation to increase college attainment and achieve the Talent Dividend.
Webinar: Increasing Adult College Completion with Pam Tate
Nearly one in five adults in the US have started college, but not completed a degree. If this population isn’t already part of your Talent Dividend strategy, it likely should be.
At our May event, Pamela Tate, CEO of The Council for Adult and Experiential Learning (CAEL) introduced LearningCounts.org as a tool for increasing college completion among adult learners. Now she’ll join us in a webinar setting for a more thorough exploration of using prior learning assessments and portfolio development as part of your city’s Talent Dividend strategy.
Mark your calendar for this Talent Dividend Webinar on August 2 from 2:00-3:00pm CT. Register now for this webinar and come with questions for Pam and her team.
Already using Prior Learning Assessments in your city? PLA Inside Out (PLAIO) is the first scholarly online journal entirely devoted to the recognition of prior experiential learning. They are accepting papers for the inaugural issue until September 1, 2011.
