Portlandia

Portlandia, a new television show that spoofs Portland’s urban vibe, showcases the city’s unique culture. A New York Times article on Portlandia discusses the factual basis behind much of the satirical content in the show. As the show demonstrates, people are obviously interested in Portland’s successes, many of which we intend to explore in depth during CEOs for Cities spring meeting, Strategy Session 2011. The meeting, held on April 27-28, will focus on the Quality of Place leadership that has made Portland one of the country’s most distinct and desirable cities in which to live.
