Latinos Key to Achieving the Talent Dividend?

Only one in six employed Hispanic adults have completed a bachelor’s degree according to this op-ed by Esther Aguilera of CHCI.  This means big opportunities for cities working to achieve the Talent Dividend.

For instance in Miami it would take an additional 38,000 college graduates in the population to achieve its Talent Dividend and there are 234,000 Latinos in Miami with some college, no completion.  Latinos represent an enormous opportunity for Miami and cities nationwide.

That is why CEOs for Cities is a partner in the Roadmap for Ensuring America’s Future, a policy roadmap to increase college completion for all and specifically among Latinos.

Is your city promoting degree completion among Latinos as part of your Talent Dividend efforts?

Find out how from Sarita Brown, President of Excelencia in Education when she joins us to share the Roadmap and strategies for increasing Latino completion at our launch event for the Talent Dividend Prize on May 9-10 in Chicago.
