Talent: A National Imperative

Caroline Altman Smith of The Kresge Foundation stresses the critical importance of increasing college attainment and offers cities as the solution in her Council on Foundations blog post. "If cities do get serious, creative and collaborative about achieving the Talent Dividend, the collective effects could be enormous in cities across America."

She goes on to point out the economic, civic and social justice impacts of increasing the number of Americans who complete college degrees and advocates for multiple sectors playing a role in achieving the Talent Dividend and President Obama's 2020 goal.
