CEOs for Cities is a national network of urban leaders dedicated to building and sustaining the next generation of great American cities.

In their Artists At Work Forum, Chicago’s Department of Cultural Affairs is convening local organizers of leading neighborhood art walks to share their insights on how to make these events successful and develop neighborhood business.

The panel discussion, moderated by Leigh Fagin, will feature business development consultant Mark Zak, Paula Barrington from Bucktown Wicker Park SSA and Chamber of Commerce, Tracy Kosteabader of the Milwaukee Avenue Arts Festival, Alan Goldberg of Glenwood Avenue Arts Festival and Montserrat Alsina from 18th St. Pilsen Open Studios.

Panelists will suggest ways to develop strategic partnerships, create effective marketing materials, and increase traffic into galleries and local businesses.

Details of the event slated for January 21 are here.
