The latest issue of Dwell magazine arrived over the weekend, and once again the editors admirably promote green living.  But why is every green home inevitably pictured as an isolated work of art in the middle of forest or field.  Do the editors ever question how far the owners have to travel to do anything -- get to work, take the kids to school, buy fresh fruit?  Do they ever question how green the lifestyle is vs. the home?

Pet peeve of the day.

(Oh that, and the Best Buy inserts that fall out of the Tribune's Red Ball tabloids as people grab them from the dispenser at the bus stop.  This drives me crazy!  Does the Trib not know this?  Does Best Buy not know this?)
