CEOs for Cities is a national network of urban leaders dedicated to building and sustaining the next generation of great American cities.

Here is a great example of under-utilized talent being put to work in new ways.  In this initiative that taps young people’s intuitive grasp of technology, students aged 12 - 16 take on a mentoring role as cell phone ‘coaches’.

“The program’s goal is to improve their social skills and self-esteem, and give them access to corporate environments they might otherwise not be exposed to.”  And the circulation of skills is improved simultaneously. 

As the article suggests: “One to copy to other parts of the world?”
