Demonstrating again that being "affordable" is not first on the list of attributes talented young adults seek in a city, The New York Times chronicles the life and times of young New Yorkers who skip meals, slip their own drinks into bars, put off haircuts until they get home, and sublet their walk-in closets to have enough money to live in the Big Apple.
