The Young & Restless Make Headlines Again
September 6, 2007
Posted by: Carol
"To our generation, it doesn't make sense to have a great job in a crummy city."
Those are the words of one mobile member of the Young and Restless as quoted in today's New York Times.
Writer Lisa Belkin devoted her Life's Work column to the fact that 64 percent of young workers choose place before job, according to CEOs for Cities commissioned research on the location preferences of 25- to 34-year-olds by Yankelovich.
Questions over how to attract this demographic are still a hot topic for urban leaders, and it is an area we'll continue to explore from multiple angles with our work on Kids in Cities, Creative Neighborhoods, New Urban Amenities, Leveraging Anchor Institutions and more.
