CEOs for Cities Joins in Release of Latino Education Blueprint

Carol Coletta, President and CEO of CEOs for Cities, joined Excelencia in Education to release the Policy Roadmap for Ensuring America’s Future, a report and set of policy guidelines on increasing higher education degree attainment by Latinos. The report sets a benchmark of 5.5 million Latino degrees by 2020. As CEOs for Cities’ Talent Dividend demonstrates, college completion determines 58 percent of a city’s success as measured by per capita income. Demographic shifts revealed by the Decennial Census point to a future where a much larger portion of the American workforce is going to be Latino. The Policy Roadmap for Ensuring America’s Future underscores Latino college completion as critical to the 21st century economy.
